Tung Fong is a Chinese restaurant located at the heart of the City of Joy, Kolkata. The address is 25-B, Ground Floor, Karnani Mansion, Mirza Ghalib St, Park Street Area, Kolkata, West Bengal 700016. My office is also in Park Street and as I am a foodie I went there to checkout the place and my first impression was nice. Tung Fong is well decorated and the ambience of the restaurant is welcoming.
The waiter was responsive and the menu card was heavy and has a wide range of dishes to choose from. Then came the worrying part, The price was steep, it was expensive for middle class people. Someone can try Tung Fong once in a Blue Moon but on a regular basis the food is expensive. Again on the other side the food was great, the portion of the food is well balanced and the urge to try out something new and exciting can be experience in Tung Fong. Tung Fong will provide great food but if they consider a price reduction and emphasize on some advertising, then I believe they can set new records and make their way to become the best restaurant in Kolkata. Tung Fong is a good place where you can get good food but somewhere after having the food be prepared to feel a pinch on your pocket.
