Apache 160 RTR: A beast waiting to be unleashed

, I had the opportunity to test ride the new TVS Apache 160

RTR. For everyone’s knowledge, I’m currently having Apache 150, before that I rode

the Pulsar 150.  But the differences are

very wide between the two models. If we compare the two siblings (Apache 150

& Apache 160) Apache 160 is a winner in every aspect by 80%. Whether you

are talking about the Engine smoothness, Firing, Handling, Riding posture,

Lights, Digital speedos, Brakes, Looks…..everything have been improved.

When I put the beast on the first gear..a very little

acceleration…it just wheelied automatically. Just like a wild horse waiting to

be unleashed. The riding experience was awesome, no vibrations, cool &

smooth ride. I rammed the brakes at a running speed of 62km/hr  to an absolute 0, I’ve to admit it was

awesome. No skidding like Pulsars. The bike just stopped. The firing is

amazing, no bike curretly in the Indian market has the type of firing. The

riding position was amazing it’s like gliding through the wind. Though the

gear-shifting was only with toes (like CBZ), with which I was a little

uncomfortable. The gear shifting is pretty smooth.

I’m madly in love with the bike & will go for it once

the finance minister (my wife) approves. Which I think I’ll manage to do (coax

my wife).
