Proud owner of TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS, I am very surprised to read some of the reviews here which is criticizing this bike.let me tell you my experience with this Beast.
I bought this bike in July 2015 Since then it has never disappointed me.not a single time.First thing to keep in mind your really need to know how to drive a beast like this before you buy it.if not then you need to learn how to ride this bike first as its no ordinary 100cc or 150cc bike or any other bike that you rode before.
Styling is out of the box, fuel tank designed in a way so that you can grip the tank comfortably when you are in a mode to burn the streets with speed over 80 Kmph coz 70 Kmph is a piece of cake for this monster. Engine cowl to keep the engine cool by better channelizing the air flow while driving, you can feel the Engine heat from the bike when you park the bike after a decent ride
Split Handel Bar for better manoeuvrability, you can drive zip-zap in city traffic on it.wont feel fatigue in handling the bike
Tubeless Tyres provides you worry free driving, I filled my tyres with sealant for puncture free experience and trust me it works like a charm, once I was driving over a speed of 70 Kmph when my rear tyre punctured, was amazed how I was in control of the bike and didnt toppled or tipped over which I am sure if I was on any ordinary bike I might have landed up in a hospital, but not only the bike was stable I saw 3 more nails punctured my tyre since I dont know how many days and the sealant protected the bike from puncture, the tyre helped my to drive the bike in puncture state to the nearest repair station without any hassle
The main reason why I bought this bike was ABS for people who dont know what ABS is Anti-Lock Braking System, which kicks in when you brake suddenly on any surface and the disc brakes locks your tyres making your bike skid, with ABS your bike wont Skid while braking no matter what surface you are on or what speed you are riding on. It definitely saved my life quite a number of time during rainy season and otherwise, dont know how a reviewer saying even a small drop of water makes it slip. Rookie Rider I guess
On Fuel efficiency its has no match, I am personally pulling an average of 39-40 Km/PL after the 2nd service rest you people know how much average a 150 or 180cc bike provides
Pick-up and on ride stability is amazing you can go 0-60 in around 3.5 seconds or may be less I didnt timed it exactly but its around 3-3.5 sec for better stability you have to keep the optimum tyre pressure as without the right tyre pressure you will face problem in handling the bike
Seating comfort for rider is good but for the pillion it might be a bit uncomfortable as its a bit high and broad but you wont get back pain definitely
Electrical components are great, Horns are loudest as it comes with twin air horns to blow the people in front away, Digital Speedometer is an eye candy and it also records your last Top Speed, every time you achieve a new top speed it registers the same automatically, also tells you the time your current Trip and your overall trip since you bought the bike
The most Amazing feeling about this bike is whenever you stop at any signal fellow riders will stop beside you and ask about the bikes performance, its looks & comforts, its price etc, you can see the envy in their eyes that they have on your Apache.makes you feel like GOD.
So this was my story till date.hope I didnt miss on anything. If I did please feel free to let me know and I will try to add that in my review. n BTW in the Picture thats my Top Speed Till Date in City Traffic.Till then Cheers.:)
