I bought a TVS Centa during Mar 2004. I have a habit of maintaining my vehicle in good condition by getting it periodically serviced at an authorized service station & filling up petrol at quality petrol pumps only.
After an year of purchase, I experienced drop in mileage by about 20-25%. And also very badly the riding was not a pleasure at all. I experienced different sound & rough driving. Suddenly one day night when I was driving my vehicle from Tambaram to Nanganallur ( A suburb in Chennai), the wheels started wobbling near Airport. With great difficulty I reached home.
After lodging a complaint with TVS company directly, they routed me to take to Sathya motors in Tambaram Sanatorium. As per the mechanic’s advice I gave my vehicle for servicing the wheels , soon after a week of general service.
Even after a year , I didn’t get a solution for my above problem. Still I got myself set with the rough riding as I had no other option or talking sentiments about the vehicle as it was my first.
During the year beginning I heard some sounds from engine. Immediately after a day or 2 I went to a TVS service station where I came to know that the engine sounds loudly because it may need re-boring & it MAY STOP anywhere suddenly.
Without any option I sold it for a very low cost & went for a Hero Honda Splendor.
