Since this review has been read by more than 1000 ppl I have decided to give a complete
revamp to this review....
I have made the following changes:
1.Written the review with sub titles.....
2.Written the review in points for easier reading....
3.Given extra addition of what possible changes you can make to your bike for better look
Why I went for this bike:
First major reason : I didnt want to buy a pulsar
Every one has a pulsar so wanted to be different but wanted a bike in same category of 150 cc
Read all reviews abt f2 it was good...but I didnt like f2 since it didnt have that
killer look
FX has exact features as f2 but has modified body i.e it is the f2 twin
The metal in front and the chrome mirrors gave the bike effect of a cruiser like
thunderbird(thunderbird was my fav bike...but my budget couldnt accomodate 80000 bucks)
Always thought of using my bike for long journeys....so wanted a bike which would give me good milage with good power
I had choices of pulsar, f2, fx, cbz...pulsar is good but not that good mileage and engine stability.....f2 model wasnt good but good mileage and performance.....cbz best of the lot in performance and model but mileage and economy for the user is very bad......so my last choice was fx right mix between model , performance, mileage
High points of the bike:
mileage of 55-65 km/l in economy mode during first 6000-8000 km
mileage of 50-55 km/l in power mode during first 6000-8000 km
mileage of 50-55 km/l in economy mode above 10000 km
mileage of 45-50km/l in power mode above 10000 km
highest speed of 110 km/hr
smooth riding ...long journeys can be made with a ease
good riding position.....reduced stress on your back
econometer with dual type ignition economy mode and power mode....when you drive in economy mode you have efficient fuel consumption hence higher mileage
good disc brakes
10.engine switch off button no other bike has this option I guess, very good one very useful in signals.
Low points:
tvs tyres....they dont have grip on wet surfaces and muddy road..esp the rear tyre
you might feel vibrations at high speeds but regular service and good maintenance you can eliminate that
as time goes you wont hear any sound from the engine......so ppl who expect that they should make thier presence felt with sound of thier bike u r sure to be disappointed ...but I prefer this way you feel u r gliding when u r moving in high speed
the chain is not that strong...so you might have to replace it for every 6000-8000 km
there is a side stand indicator with alarm...but it is a half baked one which might go on even when side stand is not in use....
the tvs service is for name sake ..they dont attend your complaints...so better give ur bike only for free service avoid pay service
lack of the fifth gear
Possible changes& suggestions:
you dont need to have any stickering since the company stickering is infact really good the gold sticker on the metallic body has really gr8 effect
change your tyres for better grip
remove your mirror ....with mirror it gives a good look....but without mirror it has the freak look which most of us expect
change of seat would be nice idea
give your bike a wash once is a month ..with car wash liquid or general purpose liq like colin
giving the bike for regular service say once in 1 or 2 months will keep the bike in gr8 condition...you can expect high speeds and gr8 pick up
