Rough Riding the Jupiter since a month and half, and covered almost 1300kms already in City traffic, and the rough internal roads of Pune. At a constant speed of 60kmph with the Orange lamp glowing, many a times, and sudden acceleration at the Green lights, the Jupiter has been returning 50KmpL, which is stupendous for twist-n-go Scooter standards. Standard tyre at the rear is not confidence inspiring, but are grippy enough while braking. Disc brake seems not necessary. Underseat gobbles up the Full face helmet, and refuelling is no longer a pain with external fuel cap. Flicking the vehicle in traffic is easier due to the better centre of gravity and Body Balance is much better than the Wego, in the Jupiter. Wego comes with metal body all over, prone to dents, but Jupiter panels are partly fiber and metal, and can be replaced in bits and pieces in case of nasty dents. Wego needs the Denting and Painting work on the contrary. The matte Grey in Jupiter looks awesome, which is what I ride. The Quality of the Build and the Panels, and the Engine is awesome. TVS deserves the standing ovation, on the quality front, considering its now colaborating with BMW, the synonymn of Quality itself.
My normal ride is a CI Std 350 Bullet. The Jupiter of the Missus is a welcome break at times. We considered buying the Jupiter after Test-riding the Activa, Maestro, Ray, Dio, Activa-i, Pleasure and also WeGo. We are more than Happy with the Jupiter.
