My TVS Phoenix 125 was Nov 2013 Model, I noted statistics and condition and comparison between when it was new and current position.
When it was new one:-
Pros:
Delighting at good handling and road grip
Smooth riding
Millage around 52 - 56 in city and 55 - 65 in long run
0 to 60 just takes 5 to 6 seconds
0 to 100 min 20 seconds required
top speed touched 115 without any mis grip of road
Awesome suspension
Cons:
Vibrates more after 70 kmph
Current position after 20k kilometers done
Pros:
Produce smooth ride if the chain is in good condition
Millage give variable, some times it give 52kmpl, some time 55kmpl and some worst traffic condition it comes aroung 48kmpl
in long ride condition 55 to 60 kmpl
0 to 60 take 8 seconds
0 to 100 takes more than 25 seconds
to speed capable to 100 to 105
Road grip is awesome no words regarding this
Tubeless alloy wheel which help when get puncture did not leave more air, give chance to ride around 2kms
Cons:
Some times the handle bar get small wobbling probem( The showroom person made this fault but they couldnt rectified correctly after this incident I didnt give my vehicle to showroom for service)
TVS company made Tyres are worst because these tyres are last for around 13k kilometers after that my rear tyre was skidding while riding in rain and if I put sudden brake it doesnt stop instead of stop it goes easily
Tyre get puncture 1st time changed the tube
2nd new tube puncutred 4 times
The Engine oil which is TVS made the worst one I have ever seen because it will last for only 1500 kilometers but showroom persons tell us it will come around 3000 kilometers,
now Using Shell helix Ultra giving good performance
Break shoes last for only 7000km
Overall Verdict:
This motorcycle is good for both city and highway ride(I HAVE A SMALL STORY BELOW if u have time then read it)
I was twice ride in ghat section which is having 15 hairpin bends shows very powerfull ride that time I was pillion who weighs around 80kg and me was 65kg but in tidy curvey uppist bends their surprisingly this moto doesnt required 1st gear but my friend with HONDA SHINE with me in similar condition isnt full fill his hope for overtaking me in Ghat section and highway condition because it was quickr than my bike but at time of taking motion in hairpin bends it fails and requesting him to put for 1st gear while my PHOENIX easily running at 2nd gear.
Please neglet wrong reviews against this bike becasue
Maintains takes an important roll for every motorcycle
My maintanance tips
I Never turn fuel valve for ON condition
Change engine oil for every 2500kms
check the air pressure for every week(air pressure 26psi at front and 38psi at rearcos I always ride with pillion in city)
clean the spark plug with dry cloth after washing
do not mix any lubricants with engine oil
SHELL(normal petrol) or HP petrol using
