I bought MAUVE color(Lavendar) in Aug 2009. Not at all satisified with the performance of the vehicle. Trying to sell it off. Odometer is just 7000KMS till date. Had to replace battery recently for Rs. 1500 within 2 years. Between 40 to 45KMS speed vehicle runs like as if there is no fuel in the tank. Acceleration squeezes suddenly and then releases.On 1st service RAMKAY TVS ADYAR replaced carburator for free(under warranty) mentioning the reason as fuel supply was not proper.
Pros: 1. Looks good
Easy to handle
Decent Mileage
Cons: 1. Self start a big problem after 4th service. Had to replace a battery within 18 months
Engine position is too low and when you have a pillion rider, fair chance of hitting the road even for small speed breakers and pot holes.
Above 45 KMS speed engine makes lot of noise( I verified other Scooty’s too)
Since the body is made of some hard plastic, very fragile.
Service centre folks( RAMKAY TVS ADYAR) give different reasons for the same problem when ever I report a problem.
Over all not happy with the vehicle. cheap quality spares.
Though a bit heavy and having availability issues, suggest to go for HONDA ACTIVA.
