Series of problems with the pep

I must caution everyone to not go for the scooty pep. My sister bought one recently, because she liked its looks, but it has been a headache from day one. here are a few of the problems we faced:

The WORST of all is the starting trouble. the vehicle just does NOT start. It is tooo frustrating to keep trying to start it. The dealer cannot rectify, or not interested or whatever

It just stops! While riding sometimes the vehicle just comes to a complete halt and then you are back again in the starting trouble problem. My sister had a bad accident due to this as her vehicle stopped suddenly while she was riding it and someone banged into her from behind, she fell and broke her arm which was in a plaster for 2 months!! Can you imagine??

It is very underpowered. ITs a very sluggish engine. Its ok if you are single seat but if you have a pillion rider, it is quite a task. And FORGET about going uphill, esp with a pillion. It simply does not have enough juice to take you.

I myself own a kinetic zing which has never given me a single problem; I can easily go with pillion anywhere, and the mileage has been consistenly good around 60 kmpl.

Based on my experience, I am compelled to recommend AGAINST the scooty pep which looks good but costs a bomb and is full of problems. Plus the dealer service is pathetic, they just cannot repair these problems. Even though my sister went there with her broken arm!!!
