If anybody out here is planning to buy a scooty, please read this review because I don’t think anybody must have experinced so many problems as I have.
I needed a vehical to go to my college which was far from our house.My parents surprised me by gifting me a scooty.In those days(June 1998) the only low HP scooters available were TVS Scooty & Sunny.I used to freely travel to college & back, until a month later while coming home the scooty broke down.Had to get it repaired nearby(after dragging it for an hour in hot sun).This problems continued & the vehicle used to breakdown anywhere without slightest of warnings.
I regularly serviced it at authorised TVS service centre, that did not help the scooty, but it efficiently emptied my pockets.This continued for two years until I managed to sell it off.I was happy, no scooty, no problems.
But I was in final year & I desperately needed a vehicle to go to college.We went to a showroom to buy a vehicle.To my bad luck the salesman showed me the new model of scooty.When I refused, he consoled me that we had old model which had problems in its design & that had been rectified in the new model.In addtion the new model even had auto-start feature.
This convinced me & we purchased the new model(Jan 2001).The new model worked well for six months & this regained my trust.But first shower of rains killed its auto-start feature.Very well, I thought, scooty is still running fine.But to my dismay the problems which harrased me in old model surfaced in new model too.
My rounds to mechanic increased & he started becoming richer.New spare parts were needed in every few months, Spark plug had to be changed, brakes became loose.To incease my problems the average of scooty went from 30Kmph to 10Kmph.
Now its getting rusted in my porch, I haven’t even managed to sell this one. So if anybody is thinking of buying a scooty, think again & take decision wisely & you may get spared from problems I faced.If you have faced the same problems then rate this review.
