I was looking for a good economy bike for the budget of rs.40k.After lot of research on the internet I
bought new star city with magwheels, 130 mm dia.breaks, fuel guage two months back in pune for Rs.40, 021 --(on road ).
Earlier I rode splendor for three years. The advantage of star city is good low end torque so you dont
have to change gears frequently in crowded city traffic and also good for comfortable double seat riding.
I think it is currently the best value for money bike in the country .
Mileage I am getting is around 60-65 kms/litre(after taking into account crowded roads , braking etc.)
NO other company is offering 130 mm dia breaks, fuel guage and magwheels for entry level bike today.
I would recommend this bike for those who are looking for good mileage, comfortable riding, good breaking, reliability, low maintainance .Those who are looking for good pickup should go for 125cc bikes.
TVS company promptly responded to my email when I didnt get purple color bike as it was not available
with the dealer at that time and told me the exact date of the delivery.
Now after riding it for past six months and above 2000 km , I can say that Im satisfied vwith the bike. Im riding in the Pune which is a capital of two wheeles. You hardly get empty roads in Pune and you can not drive at a speed more than 50-55 kms/hour.So you dont need power bike here.
Some bike manufacturers are claiming 108 kms/hour fuel consumption. But I think its just a media hype.
