I bought TVS STAR CITY in October 2006 from Sathyaa Motors, Tambaram. Right from the day one, the bike gives very poor mileage. I am getting around 40 kmpl. Despite my four services, the mileage has not improved and also there is ’misfiring’ i.e. cracker burstsound is coming from exhaust.
This problem also not solved after four services.Some people are saying that they are getting mileage of 60 kmpl. I doubt about their claim.Still one more service is pending. I am going to infom the dealer about the poor mileage and misfiring. If they are not able to rectify the defects.
I am planning forlegal course of action. Because I have invested 44K in a bike which is not allgiving performance, I have no other option except go for legal remedy.I strongly recommend those who are contemplating to buy this vehicle "DONT BUY THISBIKE".Unfortunate buyer, S.KANNAN
