F2 is Awesome

Hello,

I have been riding TVS F2 since last two years and I tell you it is the bike one should have in 150 CC segment with the current choice what we have in India (pulsar, achiever, Unicorn).

My Comparison in this review will be on the basis of what we spend and what we get. Well, like every machine even this machine has got its own Pros and Cons.

Price: Compare the prices of F2, Unicorn and Pulsar. Both Unicorn and Pulsar are at least 6-7k higher than f2

Styling: some say Pulsar is the best (it’s actually on choice) but for me F2 is the bike which has got the most. This is the bike you can have to go to office, shopping, racing. You can take your mother on this bike and even your girlfriend. It will never look odd on any situation like the Pulsar. Unicorn is kind of average.

Riding: The height of this vehicle is awesome, it’s perfectly balance. Initially I had TVS tires which gave me some problems while braking (it use to skid) I changed my bike tires to Michelin and its perfect, it no more skids at any speed I brake or turn. Guys having F2 thinks that this machine skids and doesn’t have control, but its wrong, its only coz of tires and the vehicle is perfectly balance.

Seat position is cool, and especially if u sits in back you can have a smooth drive with the super working suspensions/shock absorbers.

Head light is the best, metal used is also far better than the bajaj pulsar. I have used my vehicle in rains, dust, sun heat .. and I never had any rusting on my machine, even on the side guards (bajaj is the worst)

speed is very good as well, no compromise kinda bike which gives me 55KMPL everytime, not even once it gave below 50 and the highest I got once on highway is 65KMPL.

Only thing which I feel missing is the 5th gear. God knows why they have not put the 5th gear in a 150CC machine, but tell you it has no effect on the mileage or the power, and I feel cool that I only need to use 4 gears in city driving :)

Servicing: Servicing of TVS at Hyderabad TVS is one of the best I have seen. they are up to their job always.. and I never spent anything extra apart from the regular service at the TVS service centre.

Quality of the body and parts are much better to feel and look than the pulsar. Honda unicorn is also very good, but the rear tire is kind of thin and the body looks little short for a 150CC. Don’t get that macho feeling with Honda.

Verdict: Guys, I am not spending around 60K for pulsar to get the substandard parts and metal. I am spending around 54k to get F2 and I get every single paise back with it. If you have some extra money than u can go with Honda Unicorn, but the looks of Unicorn are not so good and the rear tire is thin, mileage also is variable not fixed with Honda unicorn, it gives 55 at times and surprises you with 45-48 sometimes. Spares are also little expensive of unicorn compared to TVS.

Hey... most important TVS F2 is all INDIAN :)

I would definitely recommend TVS F2 (No idea about the upcoming Apace and its price)

All the very best in your choice.
