Driving is Passion. Yes I do believe in this phrase. For me driving is not just about travelling a distance but enjoying the absolute thrill of it. I know a lot of you may agree to my views and a lot wont. More of you wont as I see more Splendor on road than Fiero or RX100. I got a 150cc bike, which I felt came close to the feel of RXG, on which I was driving earlier, that was Suzuki Fiero. I did try CBZ too but I really didnt like the feel of it though I touched 114kmph on it on a sunny day in Blore(No mean Achievement, with a pillow rider), but still I didnt feel it, everybody asked to me why? For me the answer was that the bike was not responsive. Then One fine day I got one of my friends Fiero for the test drive, I hate the showroom guys, they dont allow you to test drive properly.
First thing I felt when I left the clutch was the feel, the bike was responsive. As a lot of friends where staring at me I didnt try to complete the RPM cycle in 1st gear, but I shifted onto next gear. I knew I have left a lot of power behind, but I kept moving up the gear, by the time I reached 4th I was doing 80kmph, calm & smooth 80kmph. I knew this bike can hold more than what I have handled earlier.A quick research with friends gave me its mileage between 62kms - 68kms. Now this is what CBZ for sure couldnt do, friends also said no maintenance if you havent broken its headlight, deliberately, and put on CBZ headlight, which makes it stunningly beautiful.
So I bought the bike and after doing 5000kms on Delhi Road, between Cannaught place to Nehru Place, daily, 22kms more or less. I felt they were right. The 12BHP power is quite good. A lot people say it has low pickup than CBZ, I dont agree to that, I have beaten a lot of CBZs in past 4 months. One thing it loses to CBZ is its braking (Drum) and the balance. Because I do believe CBZ has the best balance among all other bikes, and for that matter Fiero does stand a very close next. You dont have to go to Highways to feel the smoothness of its engine, you can feel it at the city roads itself, and its smooth as No1. Now a Lot of people must be worried about its on roads mileage, for me it gives 66(average), and I guess you will get more out of it. And stunningly No Maintenance.
While driving just make two strong commitment, dont, please dont, Drink and Drive & Follow the service manual for first 1500kms, that will keep you and your bike in best of health.
And make sure to break the Fieros Headlight and replace with CBZs Headlight.
Sorry guys I didnt get a chance to mount on the male stuff, I meant Pulsar (no pun intended).
