I fought with my parents to get shogun. They gifted me when I got into mbbs in 1997, when it was reintroduced with cat. Wat a bike it is!!. I love that machine so much.. For every small problem I used to take it to the mechanic and get it repaired. We had a shogun club ( not registered, not legal ) in tumkur, karnataka, we used to drag race every evening. We had 12 bikes in the group .i had a good mechanic - minnie motors- who had good experience in dealing with the machine. Im using it regularly without major problem ever since.
One fact Im troubled by is, getting spare parts for the machine. I have decided to keep the bike for a long time and hence have bought a complete set of spare parts and stored well in advance. Probably I think I can use it for another 10 yrs.
Now my bike is 11 years old without any problem which has run 92000 kms. I have spent money on regular services. No major repair , touch wood.
Thanks to the mechanics at minnie motors, tumkur and Zen motors, Bangalore. Thanks to bharath motors, bangalore for providing spare parts
