Looking at the TVS Victor, the first thing that strikes anybody is the XL headlight, set up as if in a smile. TVS Victor is not the vehicle on which one can learn to ride bikes. Specially the gear shift pattern. It’s a bit difficult to shift to lower gears. The pick up is good, but I would not say excellent when compared to Freedom. I have three bikes in my house, Splendor, Victor and Freedom. Given a chance to ride any of them (they belong to my dad and his two younger brothers ) I certainly go in for Splendor. Handling Victor in the ’’sabzee market’’ could be a problem. It’s heavy compared to other bikes in it’s class.
But, on a highway, I go for Victor(it now occurred to me I never choose freedom unless necessary).
By the time Victor reaches the speed of 35 km/hr, You are already in the 3rd gear. But after that it would be sometime before the engine tells to you wake up and change to the 4th gear.
In 4th gear it’s heaven. Driving on the NH 33, I reached and maintained a constant speed of 80 km/hr. That’s pretty good for an economic bike.
It’s a good one overall.
