The user reviews of Wego left me thoroughly confused. I found the scooter attractive but various problems written by the users kept me away from buying it.
I extensively test rode Activa and Wego and found Wego at par with Activa in most aspects except that Honda is marginally smoother than Wego. You feel lesser vibration on the accelerator.
Unable to wait to 3 months for a Honda scooter I bought a Wego. I’ve owned the scooter for an year now and I’m extremely satisfied with the product. The button start still functions brilliantly(most commonly experienced problem). Only caution to exercise is that the first start of the day should be kick start.
The body balance feature is awesome. This specially helps in slow speed bumper to bumper traffic. The power is adequate and the engine does not feel strained even with three passengers. Overtaking is never an issue. The headlight is bright and covers enough ground ahead of the scooter to inspire confidence while driving at night.
Instrument cluster is neat and easy to read.
The ride quality is best in its class. Speed breakers will not come across as back breakers. In fact, I missed an unmarked speed breaker and was surprised at how well the shock absorbers handled it. Large alloy wheels add to the ride comfort. When buying a full face helmet make sure you check if it fits in the space below the seat.
Mileage is in the region of 48-50 kmpl.
It is an extremely reliable product.
