I own a wego for around 1.5 years now and I have had very bad experiences with their MDH service center in Khairatabad. My complaints are below:
They remove all the petrol from your bike when you give it for service. I guess this is standard practice in a lot of service stations but these guys are really bad. I didnt know and gave the bike with tank full the first time. When I got it back, there was hardly enough petrol for me to get home.
The switches stop working often because apparently the wire is not directly connected to the switches and only touches it (dont ask me how). Service center refuses to repair the loose connection and will ask you to replace the whole switch. The battery dies every 3 months. After that you have to use the kick start. They charge it when you take it for service and will ask you to replace it once it is out of warranty.
They will make lots of promises when they want you to buy something. They advised me to buy a costlier maintenance-free battery saying that once I buy that battery, any issues in the next one year and they will replace the battery immediately under warranty. Once I agreed to buy the battery, the list of things that need to be replaced kept increasing. Fuse box assembly, light switch, cables.... everything had to be replaced. They just went, "Madam, ek replace karna hai toh, sab replace karna padta hai". Since I had agreed to pay some 1100 for the battery, I didnt crib too much about the rest.
3 months after I bought the new battery, it stopped working. When I took the vehicle to them to replace the battery under warranty, they just added distilled water and charged it and said, "Its working now, so it cant be replaced." I was very angry and asked them what I should do if it stopped working again in 3 months. They said, "aap leke aayiye, hum thik kar denge". Seriously? Do I have nothing better to do than taking the battery to them every 3 months for recharging when I was promised its a maintenance free battery and will work without issues for 1 year? I had also got the vehicle serviced, so I refused to pay for it till he replaces the battery (though the cost of service is much lesser than the battery cost, I needed to persuade them in some way). Then they went, "Madam, hum karne ko tayyar hein par 2 or 3 days lagega. Amco se battery leke aana padega". I asked what about what you said about immediate replacement. They said, "Kisne bola aisa? Aisa nahin hota hai." When I argued further, it became "Humare paas stock nahin hai." Basically they say anything to get you to buy stuff but wont keep any of the promises they make. And worse, they have so much attrition that when you go back after 3 months, none of the guys you saw last time will be there and they can just say "I never told you that". Of course you didnt . You werent there.
Of course, I refused to leave the vehicle there. No point leaving a 50K wego with them for a 1K battery. Half the parts could go missing like the petrol they steal. Worst part is the owner/ accountant (dont know which) or whatever he is came down and started screaming at me. With no other option, I just paid for the service and left deciding never to go back there again.
While I was waiting for my vehicle to be worked on, I saw another guy who came to complain that the engine in his brand new vehicle stops when he slows down at signals. Instead of figuring out what is wrong, the owner/ accountant (whoever he is) started screaming at him saying you must have driven the vehicle with choke on and so its your fault. Seriously? How did you decide that he drove with choke on?
In conclusion, if possible dont buy a TVS 2 wheeler. If you have to, dont buy it from MDH. If you have already made that mistake, find another service center.
