TVS Wego is a scooter intended for riders below 60Kg and lesser than 5ft5in. If you ride above the limit(60Kg and 5ft5in) then WEGO or any scooter is a toy, better go for a Motor Bike.
I am 98Kg n 5’11" and WEGO became a BAD purchase for me. Here are the reasons
1) I get a fuel economy of 30-35KMPL too bad. I rang up the sales exec at the local dealer, complained about the serious low fuel efficiency. He said it wasn’t the problem with the WEGO, it has a mileage shortage coz its new and needs to complete few periodic services. But later on after the second periodic service, I found out from the service mechanic that the WEGO gives 40-45 and 30-35 with a pillion rider.
2) Rusting within 3 months. Had to buy RustOFF/wd40 sprays to stop further corroding.
3) The handle wobbles at 60KM speed on smooth plain roads.
4) Front suspension makes noise these days
5) Its 1year and 6months old, battery needs more time to self start.
6) Front glove box is of no use at all. Water gets inside it while raining. It messed my Xerox copy of documents. had a bad time when asked for documents by police.
Wego is a good option for students.
Just fine for veg market, local shopping etc.....The second option if your main bike/car runs out of fuel at home or a breakdown.I don’t like any of the TVS sales team, showroom and their service team.
When they look at you, all of them will have this in their mind " poor fellow is falling in the trap and I cant help" or even this " didn’t you find anything better? already lost ur money on the bad stuff and now u r bringing it to service it for warranty sake huh again spending?"
