I like all different types of music. I was born in 1961 and went through the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, I dont know what I think of the 00s.
I will countdown from Twenty
- Bad Medicine / Bon Jovi.
I love anthem type songs, this one is Bon Jovi at their best. Rocky and danceable and jump up and downeable.
19.Jealous Guy / Bryan ferry.
This song is great to smooch to with the love of your life, its slow, dreamy and I could cry boo hoo.
18.Seasons in the Sun / Terry Jacks
Goodbye my friend its hard to die, those words haunt me. This song is a classic, this from the 70s, done recently by a boyband.
17.Fields of fire/ Big Country
Used to love this band, a mixture of rock and bagpipes . Great party record, even my dad liked it.
- Talk dirty to me/ Poison
Rather feminine looking band, great poppy rock, stood next to one of the band members at Universal Studios Los Angeles, thats my claim to fame.
- Hot Stuff/ Donna Summer
Dont like a lot of disco, but did love this one. Great dance record, to shake your stuff.
- Cmon feel the noise/ Slade
Love Noddy Holders band. As I keep saying, I love loud chanting type records, you can shout and scream to this.
- Love in the sun/ Glitter band
Sends shivers down my spine, fantastic voice of the lead singer, saw him at Butlins also.
- Teenage rampage/ Sweet
My teenage idol, Brian Connelly, sadly no longer with us.
He was so sexy, another shouty type song. Very glam rock.
- Hotel california/ Eagles
What a long song, I even know all the words. Absolute classic.
Welcome to the Hotel California, we are going there in october.
Its hard to pick an Eagles song as they are all good in different ways.
This one has a great story to it.
10.Dancing on a Saturday night / Barry Blue
Me and my friend were at the school disco when we heard this one. Barry Blue only released a couple of hits, but we thought he was the bees knees . he used to wear Blue satin and now would look a right berk.
This song was very poppy.
I can just hear it now, Hey little girl put on your dancing shoes.
09 Angel face/ Glitter Band.
I loved the Glitter Band, they were Garys backing band.
They used to have two sets of drummers and had quite a heavy beat.
This was probably when I got into rock music, I love heavy drum beats.
08 Born to Boogie/Trex.
I love any song by Marc Bolan and his band Trex.
This song was a fast number and made you wriggle your hips about.
We had a dance troop when we were kids, we always practised in my friends house to this song.
07 Wig Wam bam/Sweet
Yet again I love the music from the 70s. The Sweet were a glam rock band which were very sexy in their own ways.I used to love Brian Connolly the lead singer, sadly hes no longer with us.
I got my dream come true when I saw him at Butlins a couple of years ago.
Wig Wam bam was a catchy number, we all knew a dance which is quite suggestive, to this day people still do this dance to the song.
06 Love is the Drug/Brian Ferry
Roxy Music was very popular with me and my friends. Love is the drug is a very sexy grinding your hips type of song.
We had a dance routine to this as well.
05 Shot by Both sides/Magazine
A good old punk rock song.
Quite fast but danceable.
I love the punk era.
04 Fat Bottomed Girls/Queen
Love anything by Queen.
This song I can relate to nowadays, mine has spread out over the years!
Good old rock song.
03 Since youve been gone/Rainbow
Sung this song at the top of our voices. Its an Anthem for Rainbow.
Cant steer away from rock music.
02 Gotta Getaway/The Offspring
The Offspring take me back to my punk days, they are so silly but boppy.
They are very good musically, and sometimes have silly https://lyrics.
This song reminds me of Bolnueva in Spain.
One of their serious songs.
01 You shook me all night long/ACDC
Met my husband whilst dancing to this, its one we relate to.
A good old head banging number.
Love the music of ACDC, the lead singers voice is very different!.
I could go on and on, I probably should have done a top 100.
It was hard to narrow it down to just 20, these songs stick in my mind and hopefully will remember them when Im old and grey.
