Music is one of my biggest passion and something I simply cannot live without.I love all kind of music and in particular the Hindi film music coz it it so rich and beautiful.We have had innumerable good songs but here i’ll pick my ten most favourite hindi music albums, the albums which are complete and I enjoy the most listening to and which are a must for your collection if you are a music freak.
My ten best hindi music albums are:
1.MUGHAL-E-AZAM:This historical romance had amazing music by NAUSHAD.Whether it was Pyar kiya to darna kya(picturised on the ultimate beauty MADHUBALA), Mohe panghat pe or Teri mehfil mein kismat, each is a jewel and a treat to hear.
2.TEESRI MANJIL:The songs of this murder mystry were sensational.It had music which literally rocked by R.D.BURMAN.O haseena zulfo wali, Deewana mujh sa nahi, O mera sona re, Aaja aaja mein hu pyar tera all were sizzling tracks and the ASHA BHOSLE-MOHD RAFI combo was combustible.Play it again
3.JULIE:I’ld consider Julie to be RAJESH ROSHAN’S best score.The songs were so romantic and KISHORE KUMAR’S wonderful voice made songs like Dil kya kare and Bhool gaya sab kuch magical.It also had PREETI SAGAR’S my heart is beating which was the first english song in a hindi movie and this song is one of my favourites.
4.UMRAO JAAN:Umrao jaan had beautiful and soulful music by KHAYAAM.It also fetched him a national award and also ASHA BHOSLE, who proved her versatality with the beautiful ghazals that she sung for the film.I love songs like In ankhon ki, Zustu zu jis ki and Zindagi jab bhi teri bazm mein.KHAYAAM’S enriching musical score enchanced the overall mood of the film.
5.HUM KISI SE KUM NAHI:R.D.BURMAN revolutised the world of music and H.K.S.K.N was a rocking album.The songs had nice rythym and beat and were emminently hummable.I love listening and dancing to songs like Mil gaya, Tum kya jaano mohabbat kya hai and Bachna ai haseeno.Smashing album.
6.ARTH:What a amazing soundtrack.Jagjit sing’s heart-wrenching music, his gossammer vocals and KAIFI AZMI’S beautiful lyrics make the songs stand out.Songs like Zhuki zhuki si nazar and Tum itna kyon muskura rahe cannot be explained in words.You have to hear them to feel them.
7.QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK:Music of this film is something I have grown on.Q.S.Q.T had sparkling fresh music by ANAND MILIND.The songs were very well-composed and written and equally well sung by ALKA YAGNIK and UDIT NARAYAN.Whether it was the cool papa kehta hai, the romantic aa mera humsafar or akela hai to kya gum hai but my absolute fav is Gazab ka hai din, coz the song is so sweet.Q.S.Q.T is a soundtrack you cannot afford to miss.
8.ROJA:It had awesome music.Roja showcased the talent of the genius called A.R.REHMAN.I fell in love with the music the moment I listened to it.Dil hai chota sa, Bharat humko, Yeh haseen wadiyan each song is a gem but I simply love the song Roja jaaneman coz it is so beautiful.Haunting score by rehman.
9.LAGAAN:There is no doubt in my mind that rehman is one of the finest talents in bollywood, he is a genius and the music he gave for lagaan confirmed that.It is one of the most complete album I have heard.From the earthy O mitwa to the romamtic O re chori to the classical Radha kaise na jale to the inspiring Chala chalo each song stands out for its music and https://lyrics.Majestic stuff from rehman.A must for your collection.
10.DIL CHAHTA HAI:I am completely in love with the music of D.C.H.SHANKAR-LOY-EHSAAN have done a commendable job and not to forget the lyrics by JAVED AKHTAR.The songs are fast, upbeat, energetic, classy, peppy, youthful and fresh.I cannot pick a particular fav coz I love all the songs but still for me KOI KAHE KEHTA RAHE has a slight edge over the other coz this song is a blast.Good job done.D.C.H is cool, hep and happening.
