Good music almost always shuns rankings; hence read the numbers as a listing and not ranks. This list, I might add, is meant for those who look at the sixties and seventies in a different light and in general regret the eighties. If youve understood this far, you may identify with the rest.
1. Kashmir - Led Zeppelin
Yes, this has been played way too many times at all the wrong places, but unlike Hotel California, it survives even the worst of listeners. A band with an almost divine line up. A composition for everyone to be proud of.
2. Abbey Road - The Beatles(Whole album)
Not pop!.this is what youve always wanted rock to be.forget the most common poster faces of the Beatles and you may just hear the liverpool garage which made this.simply incredible
3. Sympathy for the Devil - The Rolling Stones
To be heard with some liquor, if you dont mind
4. Paranoid Android - Radiohead
5. Behind Blue Eyes - The Who
6. Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd(entire album)
7. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
8. Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles
