We have been using Uber for quite some time, almost 1 year. 99% times on the same route.
Lately, their GPS system has gone faulty. The distance of our daily route is coming around 800mtr extra regularly. For first 5 days, I contacted customer care and they kept on reverting the money along with apologizing for the GPS mistake.
But it can not continue like this. It looks like it is a case of fraud where Uber is charging customers for extra distance. If the customers dont know the right distance, they will end up paying extra which is a more likely situation.
I hope authorities notice this as soon as possible and impose a fine for this fraud.
