You can loose money with Uber cabs

On 03 Dec 2016 I travelled from kozhikode to ernakulam and I became friend with a fellow passenger who was sitting besides me, who is a senior citizen Mr. Krishnan, aged 75 and had undergone heart transplant. He requested me to help him with an uber taxi to reach amrita institute of medical sciences where his daughter’s child was admitted. I helped him with his baggage to reach the outside of ernakulam south station and called up a uber taxi called from my mobile. I did this to help him since he was a heart patient travelling alone. Later I found that my paytm account attached to uber account is deducted Rs.333.02. I telephoned the passenger and he told he had paid Rs.200 to the uber driver as fare. I do not understand how can I be charged Rs.333.02 .

Please note that a trip in uber from ernakulam south railway station to amritha hospital will not cost Rs.333.02.

I am complaining to you that the uber driver has fradulently charged me Rs.333.02 in addition to the Rs.200 he took as cash from Mr.Krishnan

Besided Mr.Krishnan was angry with me when I telephoned him and insulted me.

The mistake I did was to connect paytm account to uber app as a payment option. This enabled the driver to simply draw the money from my account

PAY WITH CASH IF YOU CAN BUT NEVER LEAVE PAYTM AS A PAYMENT OPTION IN UBER, BECAUSE UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES LIKE ABOVE THE DRIVER CAN SIMPLY TAKE YOUR MONEY.

ALSO, NEVER HELP A STRANGER WITH A UBER TAXI FROM YOUR ACCOUNT.

UBER returned the money Rs.333.02 to my Paytm account after some time. I had complained to Uber regarding this. I am happy about this. Anyway, my warning that we should not help strangers with Uber taxi still holds
