Udaipur, The Most Romantic City Of India

I want to share something about city udaipur I visited in march 2008 its a wonderful place which I never forget in my life. I went with my friends we had done all bookings of hotel, sightseeing done in advance so we don’t miss anything in udaipur.


Now I give the introduction about Udaipur.


Udaipur City formally known as the cities of lakes & Venices of east.Its the capital of the former princely state of Mewar is a beautiful city in Rajasthan. Udaipur is refereed as "Venice of the East", "Most Romantic City if India" & the "Kashmir of Rajasthan" Udaipur is a lovely land around the azure water lakes, hemmed in by the lushs hills of the Aravalis.Its a fascinating blend of sights, sounds & experiences - of fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples, gardens & narrow lanes, carry the flavor of heroic past. Udaipur was named Asia’s 2nd best city of 2007, Travel & Leisure magazine named Oberoi Udaivilas as the "World’s best


hotel" for 2007. Udaipur is a favourite marriage destination many celebrities are married.


i traveled by train & get down at udaipur station on that day itself I was eager too see well on that day it was raining & we booked our stay in Hotel Mevar Haveli our rooms were facing to Lake place hotel & Jag Mandir it was a wonderful looking in morning & in night with light it was pretty amazing & I was continuously seeing the views from my room & I was quite excited going there & finally we went there at night & we had enjoyed lots having fun as we were all alone at jagmandir travelling from boat.


Then we went othet places at udaipur like Pratap smarak, Gulab Bagh & Zoo, Dudh Talai, Jagdish Temple, Pratap Museum, City Palace, Fateh Sagar & Nehru Park, Sahelion-ki-Bari, Bhartiya Lok kala Mandal, Ahar Museum, Mansoon palace(Sajjangarh), Jagmandir, Shilpgram, Maharajas car Museum. We complted all these sight seeing in 2 days then we went near by places like Ranakpur, Haldighati, Eklingji & nagda, Nathdwara(Shreenathji temple), Kumbhalgarh. These sightseeing we completed nother 2 day & Every night on streets of udaipur we used to do shopping enjoyed seeing each & every streets & also went to Rajasthan Goverment handicraft emporium, Chetak Circle, Bapu Bazar, Hathipole, City Market & Lake Palace Road.


It was a wonderful expirences as while leaving I was quite upset I wasnt wanting to return back mumbai I loved udaipur so much that I made my mind that I will back again with my family & enjoy more which I enjoyed with my friends. we left from hotel & we went to udaipur station for catching trains. while sleeping in train I was thinking of udaipur only which I take alonged with me which I never forget in my life


Well I must say you all must visit Whole rajasthan as specially Udaipur its wonderful & beautiful you will definately love & enjoy as I enjoyed.
