It has very beautiful naturally gifted locations.
Whole city is surrounded by an oldest mountain range, Aravali range. Also known as Lakecity.
Founded by Raja Udai Singh, when he shifted capital of Mewar from Chittorgarh to Udaipur, when Chittorgarh was surrounded by Mughals.
Udaipur city has an airport nearly 25 kms from the main city, while train connectivity is also good and road transport is also much prevalent there.
Udaipur has much to see, in the city, around the city and somewhat outside the city.
Starting from local places, first place came in mind is Fatehsagar lake, a perfect hang - out place with friends and family. You can do boating in the lake, and also can go to a Nehru Park which is located in between the lake, around lake you have, no vehicle zone for walking and enjoying, Vibhuti Park, Rajeev Gandhi Park, Sanjay Gandhi Park, Mahakaleshwar Temple, Lakend Hotel and many more nearby hotels, and Mumbaiyya Market for fast foods. Neemuch Mata Mandir, near Fateh sagar lake, where we have to walk 850 metres on the path made on a mountain, above, at the temple, there is a whole city view
Then one more lake which is Pichhola lake, really amazing, having a 5 - star hotel in between lake named Lake Palace which is owned by Taj Groups. City Palace, residence of king of Udaipur, is nearby Pichhola lake. Karni Mata Temple is also very near. Near City Palace, Jagdeesh temple is there, and also Ghangore ghat is also there, which is also damn good. Amrai ghat, most beautiful location near Pichhola.
Sukhadia Circle is there, for hang - out in night and have fast food there.
Sajjangarh fort and Sajjangarh Biological Park are too good places.
Bari lake is also fine.

Very good world famous 5 - star hotels are there, like, Udaivilas, Oberoi, Lakepalace, etc., .

Devigarh resort, Kumbalgarh fort, Ranakpur jain temple, Haldighati, Sri Nathji Temple in Nathdwara, Chittorgarh fort, etc, .,

In winters, Shilpgram, a traditional type fair also held in the last week of year.
Best season - except Summers, spring and autumn are the best.
