Plot not revealed. Can u guess why?? Only if there was a plot, then only, there would be a possiblity to reveal it..na?? Wat a poor film it was!!
I went for the film, only ’coz of AzhgamPerumaal, assitant dir. of Maniratnam. I wonder how did he give the film like ’’Dum Dum Dum’’. Might be, Maniratnam assisted him to take the movie. Here, it was the first film for him. But, due to financial pbms, it was released very late. I would be happy, if the film was not released.
When the film started, I came to a mood like, ’wow, AzhagamPerumaal wud try for sth different’. But, after some 20 minutes, my hope was lost...Then after, I was trying to find the plot... ie: wat the director wanted to say. But, till the film ended, I couldn’t find any. But, there was some relief(s) also.
Notable one was Sujatha’s dialogue. One eg: Vijay was a lecturer. (God saved me atleast here. The director didnt give him a book n make him as a college student. So I thank God). He was taking chemistry class.
Vijay: ’’Who is the father of Quantom Physics?’’, asked to one student who was
sleeping.
Simran also another student. She woke up the particular student n told ’’Hey, Sir is asking ’who is ur father?’
Then, the student replied : ’’Palanivel Gounder, sir’’.
Other notable one, was the music. (only songs). re-reco was done by Praveen Mani, assitant of ARR. I think, these two assistants (AzhagamPerumaal n PraveenMani shud hav worked as assistants for few more yrs also) Praveen Mani really didnt know, whr to produce which music. He carelessly used all the instruments whr thr shudnt be any music. And, he kept mum, when the was needed a music piece. I think, this was the poorest re-reco, I have ever seen.
The last notable one was ’Pleasing Camera’, by ’’Priyan’’. But, when the film was ilke this, how could one notice the camera??
The biggest drawback of the film was Editing by Raja Mohammad. I think, he was doing editing while he was eating, chating, bathing, etc. No scenes had coherance. He could participate in ’High Jump’ in Olympics. The film looked like..yeah. If IR did the music score, he would adjust this long jumps, atleast with his music. But here??? Atleast, ARR should have done that.
The Art Director, M. Prabhagar was wasted in the film, except one or two scenes. Simran looked beatiful in some scenes. Vijay also looked handsome, except song sequences. There he maintained this times’ ’’Kevala patta’’ French beard.
B4 going for the moive, my frnd told me, ’’Athi, it was not a film for ’Vijay fans’. Vijay was not given even a bike. And he didnt show his irritating styles, etc.’’ But, once I saw the film, I came to know tat ’’It was not at all a film. Then only v cud go for ’for vijay fans’, or ’for other’..na??’’
P.S: These r all only my views. No intention to hurt anybody. If u find the same, excuse me.
