This is what many movie-goers will label as a plodding film, especially those who have been fed on explosive action blockbuster diets.
Yet Unbreakable rewards those who wait. Perhaps its ending might not be as jolting as The Sixth Senses, but Unbreakable shows a more subtle, and more finely honed M. Night Shyamalan. The movie draws numerous parallels to its predecessor, The Sixth Sense. Besides starring everyday Joe Bruce Willis, this movie also bears the stamp of a Shyamalan flick through the much welcome presence of yet another young talented boy.He turns in a heartwrenching offering as an ordinary man with extraordinary powers.
This man just has to end on an off-key note. Some will probably feel cheated about the ending, others might find it almost philosophical. Whatever it is, take this ride with a generous pinch of salt.
