Time pass movie

Set in Philadelphia, this film stars two diametrically opposed men. One man is black and has a disease which makes his bones fragile. The other man is white and seems to be unbreakable. He is the only survivor of a train wreck and can’t seem to figure out why. The first man helps the second man come to some kind of understanding about his situation. Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson emote without making you feel it’s a big deal. And of course there’s the wide-eyed kid - fast becoming a standard accessory to every Night movie. Unbreakable is not as creepy as the Sixth Sense and can make you feel confused. But it does tickle your philosophical bone and stimulates your ESP. It also gets rather slow, and unlike the Sixth Sense (sorry, comparisons are inevitable) there are no surprises behind every corner. Another grouse: Bruce’s hideous raincoat paired with a baseball cap makes him look something of a cross between a Satan devotee and a Red Sox fan. Nevertheless, Night has his fans, who dote on his style and penchant for detail. And the movie is a lot better than the standard special effects fare we usually get. There is a twist in the end but not a Sixth Sense style slap-in-your-face one. This film’s finish felt much more like a “yeah okay, that makes sense” kind of thing. Of course, some might scoff at the ending, but that depends on whether or not you were “into” the film as it moved along. Most likely, you’ll get out of the movie hall saying hmmmm, not bad at all.
