Here, no one is willing to listen to the customer. I had a very old savings account in UBI Gandhi Nagar, Jammu branch. A few days ago, I opened 4-5 FD accounts online, clearly stating that on maturity, proceeds should be credited to my savings account. However, the bank automatically renewed 2 FD accounts on maturity. Despite instructing the bank in writing not to renew any maturing FD, they renewed it for the third time. Surprisingly, you can create FD online, but you cant encash/cancel/close the forcibly created FD account online. After lodging an online complaint and visiting the bank twice, engaging in heated discussions with at least three employees, I finally managed to get one FD cancelled/closed.
