These guys are the worst people to bank with. I recently applied for a home loan in Union Bank since the builder knew some people there and hence thought that there may not be any problems in sanctioning the loan. Now let me tell you my nightmare.
First I met the bank manager who gave me the application form and some other forms. Once I filled up everything I submitted the same to the manager. On reviewing the same he said that some more details on the guarantor are required. Firstly not sure why a guarantor is required as the property papers are in pocession of the bank.
Anyway I got the details and called him up. He told me that he is not well as will not be coming to office. Now I have been following up with him for the last 3 weeks and he is on leave due to health reasons. I came to know that my application has not been forwarded and he has not delegated the task to anyone else. I called up the bank several times but no one knows anything about my loan application. This is really disgusting. Now I am stuck up because the original signed receipts for payments are with the bank and also the landlord signed residence proof. Now it has been almost 25 days.
My payment is supposed to be made in the next 30 days. I am really sick of this and am cursing myself for applying for a loan application with this bank. Now I know why people curse PSU banks. People are completely unaccountable and they care least about others problems. If a person does not come to work, then the work he is handling completely stops. My loan application is badly stuck up and I do not even know to whom this can be escalated to. Worst, I dont know whether there is any escalation path existing in this bank.
