I have been banking with UBI since 10yrs now. My a/c was a salary a/c when it was opened. My salary was deposited in this bank for almost 7 yrs. Then I changed my job and hence the bank. I didnt perform any transitiction for abt 2 yrs. But strangly UBI still kept my a/c active .... (if it was abnamro bank they would have closed it without informing) . I have my a/c with Hadapsar branch in Pune.
It was a cool branch with less crowd, The not so young staff at the branch chated with the customers and helped the illeterates to fill the forms and withsrawl slips. Alltough it took 30min to withdraw money, I never minded to bank with them.
Very recently they have introduced cards-atm. The atm rooms are worst with water leaking from the top, a/c not working, etc. I had once droped a cheque at the dropbox in amt. It went missing. The internet banking is worst and good to check the balance only. The customercare for cards and internetbanking is worst............. seems they dont have the experience and tech to compete with hightech banks.
