My Dream Vacation

Hi Mouthies...

This time I gonna write something different from what I always do...

Hmmmm! My friend had been to UK last year and he had visited this place is Northumberland.. Yes few people would be aware of this Chillingham Castle.

Did any1 notice that this place was shown in Discovery Channel few months back.

After watching that documentary in Discovery Channel I made my mind that my next abroad visit would be Chillingham Castle.

No wonder why iam writing a review on this because I did a small research last year on re-incarnation and horror movies and stories grab my attention. I love to reveal the reality of ghost stories.

Lets enter the Chillingham Castle ... I have found some info about this form net also.. and Discovery channel helped me in writing this review...

This remarkable castle with its alarming dungeons and torture chamber has, since the twelve-hundreds, been continuously owned by the family of the Earls Grey and their relations.

The Most Haunted Castle in Britain... which has The most famous is the ’’blue boy’’ who as midnight rang out would cry and moan in agony or maybe fear.

A well-known poem by the poet Longfellow begins with the following verse:

’All houses in which men have lived and died

Are haunted houses: through the open doors

The harmless phantoms on their errands glide

With feet that make no sound upon the floors.’

Lets go back to the The Radiant Boy (or Blue Boy)

Perhaps most famous apparition was known as the ’Blue Boy’, or ’Radiant Boy’, which used to be seen in what is now called the Pink Room (not open to the public). There, when from the Clock tower the hour of midnight sounded, were heard the cries and moans of a child in pain and in an agony of fear.

Lady Grey - The Ghost in the Portrait

Next best known and authenticated ghost is that of Lady Mary Berkeley, wife of Ford, Lord Grey of Wark and Chillingham and Earl of Tankerville, still looking for her errant husband. That gentleman ran away with her own sister, Lady Henrietta, thus giving rise to a great scandal and a lawsuit before the famous, or shall I say infamous, Judge Jeffries in the reign of King Charles II.

The Ghost in the Chamber ---

Not all the ghosts are those we see, some are merely felt. ’Impalpable impressions on the air, ’ the poet says -’A sense of something moving to and fro, ’ a chill dark thing that creeps, or an oppressive atmosphere, as in an upper chamber, overlooking the dell, where the sensitive cannot remain.

A lady’s maid who had been given this room was found next morning on the sofa in the dining hall. She had quitted her bed in a panic and nothing would induce her to return. It is said that a former chef, who occupied the room, was driven to commit suicide there, and we no longer use it as a bedroom.

So guyz there is still many things which are not revealed to the public.. and there is a basement here, wher they used to torture people in a very cruel manner.. and there are stories which say that the ghosts appear in this castle

are those who have suffered and died under torture.

Anyone who likes to experience real ghost can visit this place.
