University of Calcutta is the oldest and one of the esteemed Universities in India and it provides innumerable numbers of courses of Bachelor degrees and Master Degrees. The University also imparts M Phil and PhD qualifications and the professors completing their PhD’s from the University are considered to be more valuable than other Universities in West Bengal.
The only weak point as far as my personal opinion is considered is that the University of Calcutta is not much techno-savvy and still is in that old mode of teaching. The university has a nice website where the courses offered under different streams are listed along with Schedules, Exam timetable and complete Information about the respective departments.
The main campus in college street is located in a nice and suitable location as college street is the best place for buying first and second hand books at reasonable rates. Also, the university has a totally separate campus for the economics department on BT Road.
