Delhi University is one of the most sought after universities and yet it remains plagued with evils.the courses are still outdated and corruption reigns in every nook and crevice. Admissions are still faulty with only a fraction of the people getting their choice of colleges and courses most of which are backdoor entries or ’’pull quota’’ as they are referred to. The professors are uninterested in teaching and not at all interesting or worth listening to . The results are worst - there is no correlation between your performance and the marks you get. Moreover bribes can get you any mark-sheet you want.
But there is another side to the story as well. Students are a fraternity. They come not ot attend classes but to be a part of an experience which has to be lived to be believed. It is a mini-India with people of all backgrounds and cultures. See the elections and you get first hand knowledge of what real life politics is and how dirty it can get.The extra curricular activities are valuable sources of experience and interaction. You learn how to organise events and face real life problems. You live life!!! Till you are in school you are protected and sheltered and you see the world with rose tinted spectacles. But being there teaches you to be independent and face the world as it really is. It teaches you in 3 years what you would have normally learnt in a life time...
So all in all Delhi university is an experience that should be enjoyed as much as possible. Live life to the fullest...
