I am using upwork from 2008 when it was odesk. It was a very good website for Freelancer and I had made lot of money from their.But now upwork had increased the commission from 10% to 20% which is very annoying and I didn’t like the concept of rising star which is very confusing. Upwork is charging one dollar for extra bid which is too expensive.
I have found that their is some issue with readiness test of the Upwork. I have a given this test for more than 10 times and not able to clear that even I have tried all the answers.
Website is user friendly, it is better that the Odesk on this point. But most of the time this site is under maintenance.
Over all this website is not good for Freelancer as it is expensive to work with. There are many online options which we can go with instead of Upwork
