I really liked some of the designs that they have on their website. But to actually buy one is a distant reality. Here is my experience:
- a furniture(book shelf) purchased on deal. After following up approx. half a dozen times, the actual furniture reached Bangalore depot. I called again and was informed that theUL buddy would assist me. Over the next 1 week, severalUL buddies confirmed that my order will be delivered within a day or two - and that someone from their depot would actually call to find out the most suitable time of delivery and installation.
After two weeks, my order status on their app suddenly changed toCancelled. When I called them, they informed me that the item was actually Out of Stock. I asked how is it possible when their app showed that the order was delivered, inspected, quality checked etc. etc. - they informed me that they are sorry and I should buy another item. The same item was back on sale albeit Rs 6000 higher than originally sold to me.
I purchase a lot of things online esp. through flipkart. Since this was my first purchase through UL, I thought I should give it another go. I ordered a coffee table this time around. Guess what, exactly the same. Only the order status has not changed toCancelled.yet.
I cannot imagine how these guys can run their business this way. Perhaps they dont have any audit systems in place to track these issues. All I can say, if I wanted to set up an online store that just displayed products but never sold & delivered any, this would be the way to go. I have given them a 5 star rating on website loading time. For everything else, they really need to figure out if they really want to every sell anything - and deliver what they sold.
