Let me start with few words to describe their service - CHEAP, UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, NOT WORTH THE MONEY SPENT.
After their regular survey and quotation, I had requested them to arrive at my Kalina home at 1pm as I had to install my dish tv at 5 pm in Andheri. They guys came at 1.45 pm with cheap gunny bags. Then the guys went down to purchase muskin tape and came back at 2.30 pm. After hiring them for 6000 rupees(which is the highest that I have paid any movers and packers till date), I had expected that their packing will be organised and segregated. I had well in advance requested them to not send limited boxes so that they don’t keep toiletries and kitchen stuff together.
They were packing so slowly in spite of there being 3 guys. Then a fourth guy comes and they are still packing.
Since the area from where I was moving, is under constructing, the road, hence when the dumper guys came, they had to pick up speed as the dumper guy was wanting them to move their tempo. The entire packing finished at 4.30 pm(thanks to the dumper guy). We reach Andheri and they are slowly getting the stuff to my flat. I missed getting my dish TV fixed as it became dark and the tempo reached my place at 5.45 pm.
Mid way, they say they can get my cupboard(worth 7000 Rs) up due to space and all crap reason. For 1 hour, I had to talk to the workers and then spoke to the owner(who was very rude and arrogant). They were just saying that they cant get it upstairs and we have to leave it down or get a carpenter at 8.30 pm. Ultimately when I refused to pay full as they were intending to give me incomplete service and after a male friend intervened, they managed to get the same cupboard upstairs.
AC they said they will fix, they again started arguing about that. The whole ordeal got over at 10 pm. Then too top it they were asking’Bakshish’ for such a shoddy job done.
Some more ordeal was in there - My cupboard hangers were in some other box and cupboard clothes in another. Height was - TWO OF DEFREZZER FOOD CONTAINER WAS IN THE TOILETRIES BOX WITH POWDER AND PHENOL.
And they call themselves Progressive. I have hired movers and packers on 5 occasion, but these guys put me through lot of trauma and stress.
In short - NOT WORTH THE MONEY AND NOT AT ALL PROFESSIONAL.
