Agonising experience with USHA LEXUS

Let me describe my unfortunate experience of dealing with USHA LEXUS. I am writing this as I would not like others to go thru the same experience !!!!!


I had booked for the follwoing on 17th July, 06.


1) 5 seater sofa ( 3 + 1 + 1)


2) TV Unit


3) Dining Table


4) Crockery Unit


I paid an advance of RS.24, 000.00 and the rest was supposed to be paid before delivery. I was told that delivery wooul


happen within 3 - 4 weeks.


We started following up with Usha Lexus from 16th of August and after lot of follow ups we were told on 24th August that all the items were in their godown except for the crockery unit which was yet to come and was expected by 29th August. As I wanted to take delivery in a single lot, I was prepared to wait till 29th. When I checked on 28th August, I was initally told that the truck had met with an accident which was later changed to the truck being held at some checkpost for want of documents which effectively meant that I would not be getting my crockery unit..


As I was getting impatient, I agreed to take delivery of the items without the Crockery unit and paid up the balance for these 3 units on 5th Sept. I had asked delivery on 6th Sept, by about 3.30 PM. As there was no information from USHA Lexus till 4.30 PM, we started following up with them. We were told that the delivery would happen between 7 - 8 PM. We waited till 7.50 PM. Since USHA Lexus is very punctual in closing their showroom by 8.00 PM, we called up at 7.50 PM and informed USHA Lexus that if the delivery did not happen on 6th, they could keep the furniture at their godown itself as we would not be taking delivery after 6th.


This had the desired effect and the delivery was effected by about 9.45 PM. But little did I know that my troubles were far from over and this was just the start of I t !!!!!!


The 3 seater was of different shade and the two single seaters were of different shade. the Fabric of one of the single seater was torn. The top units of the TV unit was also damaged. So effevtively out of 3 units which were delivered, only the dining table was perfect. The delivery boy assured us that they would replace the SOFA set and the top unit s of the TV unit by 12.30 PM on 7th Sept .


When we called up Usha Lexus on 7th, we were told that they did not have any other units in their godown and they would need to get us a new piece and this would take 10 days !!!! When we pointed out that theit delivery boy had told us that things would happen by 12.30 Pm, we were told that " He had lied to us " to escape out of the situation !!!!!!


Now I have a sofa set which I cannot use, a TV unit which is just a shell and wait patiently for USHA lexus to deliver the new units in 10 days which going by   my experience would never happen !!!!


So, my advice to all mouthshut users is :


1) Pls verify that what is delivered is what u have ordered for !!!


2) Do not pay the balance till u r satisfied that u have got what u wanted !!!


3) Do not fall for any words / commitment from the people who man the outlets of Usha Lexus !!!


I will update with my future experiences post 17th Sept which is when I am supposed to get the   replacement for the existing ones !!!!
