I am sure everyone will agree that the weather
has been rather glorious the past couple of
days and although I am not one to complain
about the weather and moaning one minute
because it’s too hot and the next minute
because it’s too cold, I have been finding it
very hot and I am sure I’m not alone to say
that it’s been a struggle with the humidity and
trying to sleep at night. Me and my boyfriend
have two fans at the flat and over the weekend
we had one in the lounge and one in the
bedroom to ty and cool the air down a little.
We have had this Challenge fan for about a
year and recently dug it out to use. This is a
chrome tilting fan and has a compact design
making it ideal for transporting with ease. The
adjustable tilt is a handy feature that allows
you to direct the flow of cool air to exactly
where you need it. The fan has two speed
settings and is free-standing. The fan is 28cm
in height, 11cm in width and 29cm in depth so
it’s a reasonable size, without being too big or
bulky. The fan did originally come in a box
with a set of basic instructions; although we no
longer have either of these as we didn’t see
the point in keeping them.

We originally purchased this from Argos where
it’s currently priced at 2600/3000, which I think is
a very reasonable price.
This may not be the best fan in the world but it
works and it works well. It has really helped
me and my boyfriend stay slightly cooler in the
flat when we are watching the TV rather than
feeling all hot and sweaty. The fan is a
reasonable size and it does blow out a good
amount of cold air. I love the tilting feature on
the fan, which gives you more control over
where the cold air blows when the fan is on.
The speed settings on the fan are good
enough; although the lower speed doesn’t
really do much when the weather is very humid
and it’s hot and sticky which is why we always
have the fan on the highest speed. I like the
look of this fan as it looks much nicer than
some of these white plastic fans. This fan is a
little noisy, but it doesn’t really bother me and
my boyfriend and because we don’t sleep with
the fan on its not like it keeps us awake. This
is a great fan and if you are on a budget but
are desperate to cool down then this is
perfect. This fan is also great for smaller sized
rooms to help get some cold air in the room to
make it feel cooler and fresher.
