A treat for all Veggies..!!!!

Hi Guys, writing review after a long time. Had posted an SMS on this restaurant earlier but after multiple visits to this place I thought writing a complete review will do more justice to the it.There are 2 Restaurants named Utsav & both are close-by. One is Utsav - Delight Dining & Bar & the other one is Utsav Veg Restaurant. I am writing on the latter one.

I first visited it’s Bhiwandi Branch (about 30 Kms from my place) with my family on my relatives recommendation. The place looked normal & even the food was ok types. The manager there told us that they were opening a Branch at Thane but I never knew when & where & didn’t even ask much.

After a month or so, we went to one of my fav restaurants in Thane named Shiv Sagar & to our surprise, it had been reconstructed & renovated & renamed to Utsav Restaurant. This new place looked better than before. With new exterior & interiors it looked much better & we thought of giving it a try.

Ambience :

It has AC & Non-AC sections. The non-ac section is road-facing & has some tables. We prefer to sit in the AC section so we moved in. The interiors changed completely & it’s much better than the previous one. The Ambiance is really nice with good light affects, comfortable sofas, chairs & tables. The AC section on 1st floor however gives a little pain to tall people as they need to bend while standing.

Overall ambiance is very nice & one gets a good feeling on entering.

Food:

Now comes the real part for any restaurant, one can compromise a little on Ambiance & Service but if the food is nice, there’s no complain. The Food here is awesome. It’s one of the best I have ever had.

The variety in food includes Pav Bhaji, Punjabi, south Indian, Snacks, Chinese, Mexican, etc.Again in each type of food there is a lot of variety to try out.

Soups, starters, main course, pizzas, pav bhaji, south Indian everything tastes good. Never had to complain for the taste.Corn Cracker is one of the unique starters I like here. The portions served in any dish are also good. The taste of everything & anything I have had here has never disappointed me. 1 portion of any dish (vegetables , Dal, Rice or some Chinese stuff) is sufficient for 3 - 4 people.

One of the must try dish here is ’Dum Birayani’. I am a fan of it. Never had such tasty birayani ever. It’s delicious. Also the most famous desert, sizzling brownie is good.

The rates are neither too low nor too high. But the rates are definitely reasonable & worth the taste. Dinner for 2 costs around Rs.800-1200 (depends on your diet, taste etc.). You won’t complain for spending your money that’s for sure.

Service :

Service is not bad either. The staff is very courteous, welcomes & serves with a smile. We ( me & my sibblings) once arranged a surprise party for my dad here. We invited about 25-30 family friends & still their service was very good in spite of being at the peak hour..

First when we went there, we didn’t knew what to order & what’s good & all. The person who was taking our order suggested us some stuffs & those were really nice. So the staff gets full points.

However on weekends, you will have to wait to get your table. Waiting time ranges from 15-40 mins depending on the number of members & crowd. One more thing which needs to be implemented is home-delivery. They haven’t started with that. We need to pick up things if we order on the phone.

Over-all, well I like this place & it’s my fav. Give it a try if you get a chance. Oh & if you are planning to invite me for a treat, pls treat me here. :-P
