Simply amazed at how foolish Ichcha is depicted

The character of Tapasya is shown as very negative and villainous, but its Ichcha’s portrayal which is so surprisingly foolish and shown as utterly stupid. In this day and age, would a girl born in a slum, having escaped that life, make such foolish sacrifices? If Ichcha really loved Veer, how can she stop loving him overnight and be so stubborn in refusing to marry him when he was all set to divorce Tapasya? What right does any girl or boy for that matter have in deciding who should stay married to whom. Its almost high handed, the way Ichcha wants Veer to remain married to Tapasya and what’s more, make a success of a marriage which was done in utter deceit and is a huge fraud. That a supposedly educated, kind, ’noble’ girl like Ichcha can support and take part in such a huge fraud like "Tappu"’s wedding to bechara Veer, is sick.Utterly unbelievable that she can forgive and forget an attempt on her own life, that too by her "best friend" Tapasya, that she tosses aside Veer’s caring and devotion even after he saved her life, and instead opens her arms to a "friend" who tried to get her murdered.

This does not come across as a great sacrifice or a grand, noble gesture, but appears as foolish, immature behaviour of a girl who needs to grow up.  If the writer and directors think this is glorifying the character of Ichcha, then sorry to say, but its a very bad example to young, impressionable minds. It shows utter disregard for love and relationships and the sacred institution of marriage. It shows that fraud and cheating win, that one can marry someone through deceit and that even a Harvard MBA like Veer can be helpless in front of two silly, immature girls like Ichcha and Tappu.I kept watching the serial, hoping that they would show Veer getting married to Ichcha by pretending that he was Vansh, by covering his face with a sehra, the same way that Tappu married him by pretending that she was Ichcha, so that it would have been poetic justice.Still hoping to see Veer ultimately marrying Ichcha.

One can simply not accept the storyline that Veer’s brother marries Ichcha. As if merely tying a mangalsutra and applying a kilo of sindoor makes "sadaiva lagnam", emotions, commitment, morals, values and principles be damned.
