It left me wondering what in the name of God this man is talking about? valkyries ? I mean can there be no simple name someone can choose to write about. But having faith in Coelho’s name based on my reading, I decided to implore upon and dig out the meaning of title -

’’Any of Odin’s handmaidens who conducted the souls of the slain to Valhalla.’’

thats what Valkyries means, and still it left me wondering, but as I proded upon and moved in the mojave desert with Paul and his wife in search of his angel, I saw myself growing, and able to see beyond the mist of physicality and shallow world. Dont get me wrong anyone, I am by no means a spiritual blabber-gaster, but this book can make you question your strongest believes, and even your wildest ideas when you see Paul meeting his angel and angel appear without any wings and halo, and when the door opens he see no magic happening, but reality getting clearer in front of his eyes.

Of course there is not story in the proper story line to linger upon, or to tell you all, but this book is really something one should read, especially if you want to mention yourself in the lines of bibliophiles.

Coelho has a very special style of writing and his mystic-sufi approach towards writing makes him enjoy a fan-niche who are purely devoted to him.
