I read this book while I was stationed overseas. One thing I always say about Anne Rice is how much I love how she based her novels mostly in New Orleans. They really bring me back.
I really like how she brought together Interview with the Vampire and The Vampire Lestat. It answered a lot of questions I needed answered. One thing I love about Lestat is that he can never kill an innocent victim. That, I learned in this book.
After reading Interview, you feel some sort of hatred toward Lestat but after you read this book, you kind of feel sorry for him. You want to embrace him and comfort him.
The main question I wanted answered was from Interview, how he was created without a choice. I thought it was great how Magnus took him in and taught him what he needed to know.
I really love this book and highly recommend it to others.
