This is my horrible experience with VARSHA TRAVELS and pls think twice while booking tickets with varsha travel....
First off all I booked a package trip to tirupati from Nisarga travels Gandhinagar.... although I was little reluctant to go with Varsha Travel the agent convinced that they provide very good service....
so I went with the agents words and booked a Volvo bus package where I was promised to get to travel to and fro by VOLVO bus, break fast, Lunch, and paid darshan (special darshan)..
so we came to alight the bus at Gandhi Nagar, ananda rao circle at 9.30PM, got in to the bus at 9.50 the bus started at 10.00PM..... The bus started to make some grumbling noice and to my astonishment it was not a volvo bus but a normal altered front engine bus with VOLVO written all over the bus........ when I objected with the Driver and cleaner that the bus I was traveling was not a VOLVO but a normal air bus .... for which the cleaner with out any word shut the front cabin door and locked it and after 20 mins... I got a reply from the cleaner that it is not volvo....
And free to get off if I wanted only a VOLVO bus... and this I was told near hoskote.....so I had no other go but to continue the travel with them.......... bus reached tirupati......... at 4.00AM and we were asked to stand in the queue to get a Rs50 ticket (the guide told that the package trip included only Rs40 ticket and we had to pay him Rs10 extra for the ticket)..... so we waited in the queue to get the thumb impression and reporting time..... after 15 minutes we were asked to get in to different line....
We waited for 2 hrs finally our turn came and we got the thumb impression done and ticket was handed to us.... I was totally surprised to know that we were standing in a free darshan line and the ticket we got a free darshan line ticket... when I objected that I wanted a paid darshan and not the free one as free ones some time takes ages to get in..... the Guide turned blind eye on me and as expected I did not get much support for the fellow travellers as most of them were north indians and first timers.... so they had no clue of paid and free darshan.........
Finally we were told that we were heading to a hotel for changing... etc etc.... the guide took us to a decent hotel and made us wait for 15 minutes in bus, later came back and announced that we are heading to a different hotel..... and a more shocking treatment was waiting us.......... this fellow took us to some shabby hotel.... in middle of a slum which was exactly opposite to railway tracks (you can just imagine the scene in front of the railway tracks).......... all filth around the hotels.... starting from animal waste to human waste....Finally after lots of struggle I and my wife got a room and we were told to get ready in 15 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!..
we entered the room to find a filthy uncleaned bath rooms( I have taken the photos to support my comments)........ I dont know when they had last cleaned the rooms..... some how we went thru all this and came to the bus... had break fast.... my wife skipped the break fast as she wanted to have darshan in empty stomach............ so we joined the queue at 10.30..... I and my wife were the last in the queue and all other Varsha bus co passengers were ahead of us..... we some how finished the darshan and by the time we went to collect the laddoos.... it started to pour heavily..... as we were last in the queue our co passengers had collected their ladoos and had left to the destination where the Guide had asked us to assemble..... the heavy down pour lasted for 40 minutes.... and then we started to the place where we were asked to assemble.... and to my surprise I could see any one around.... and I was told that our co-passengers had left to tirupati from tirumala..... then I had to take my own travel to tirupati... and some how contacted the guide... and got hold of the bus... by the time I reached the bus all the passengers had their lunch... so I asked the guide to stop at a decent place so that I can pack something for my wife as she had nothing from morning.... and the guide advised that the bus was heading to alamelu mangapura... and will stop there for 40 minutes.... so I can have darshan and have something as well.... so quickly I went and bought a special darshan ticket and finished the darshan with in 20 minutes and informed the guide that we will get some thing for the lunch........... but I got a rude ans from this basd that the bus was running late and told that if we wanted we can have the lunch but have to take back our own travel to Bangalore...... so with out any go I got some biscuits packets, some juice... and some chips for my wife..............so finally we reached bangalore at 11.30PM....
after coming back to bangalore nisarga travels did contact the varsha travel for which the travel agent got a rude reply
so my advice to those who are going to Tirupati.... please please do not take this VARSHA TRAVELS... a
NISARGA TRAVELS... GANDHI NAGAR BANGALORE..... travel agent has advised that he has stopped booking with varsha travels... which is good on his part..
you are told some thing and you get nothing...
so for the package trip I was told travel by VOLVO bus, place for bathing changing etc, one break fast, lunch and paid darshan
what I got........
travel by NORMAL AIR BUS... with lots of grumbling noice..............
A filthy place to have bath and change...........
free darshan
no lunch........
rude cleaner driver and guide............
