I have a Maruti WagonR which is 3 year old. It is running perfectly well. Suddenly yesterday, when it went over a hump, the steering went hard, lights have gone down. Once stoped, the car was also not starting and I had to get it pushed. I have taken it to Varun motors in Tolichowki. After I reached there(VARUN), and I’m not really happy by the way the they were quoting based on the situation, that the car was not starting.
Just before checking the car itself the service person was telling me that the battery is gone, and its already 3 years so you have to get it replaced. I think he was trying to dump me, just like that. Then I asked him how can a battery go weak on jumping a hump and after some talking I asked him to get an electrician to check this. When he examined he saw the wire was cut from the generator.
Immediately the support person came in and was quoting 800 INR for repairing it. I told him that was too much for just joining a cut wire and then he was saying not only that your battery need to be recharged etc. however I felt that was too much and then he came down to 600. Had I not insisted to check the battery I could have had to replace my battery:(
