Vaseline Rules!

~~I didn’t write the above title because it’s considered a lube, but because it’s so healthy for our skin. Vaseline is petroleum jelly that can be used by all ages. My mom actually purchased this product way before I was born, possibly when my older sister was born. She most probably used it on her, and used it on the rest of us as well. The thing I like about this product is that it’s oily enough to apply some kind of powder or foundation over top of it and won’t give that flaky look on your skin. Everyone should buy Vaseline because it’s for everyone.

~~My everyday routine in the morning includes washing my face with Nivea Visage Oil Controlling Gel Cleanser, drying my face, then applying Vaseline petroleum jelly, and then Johnson’s baby powder to finish it off. The great thing about Vaseline is that I don’t get zits anymore. My face is as clear as babies skin, as you can see in my picture. No, it’s not the camera, I don’t have zits. If I don’t apply it, I start growing small pimples, and sometimes big ones. I don’t know if this works for everyone, but it sure does on me. From my knowledge, I think it suits all skin types.

~~I’ve used Vaseline Petroleum jelly as a makeup remover ever since I started wearing make up. Vaseline takes off each and every single trace of makeup, as it is oily. It’s cheap and effective. All those other makeup removers may have chemicals in them to supposedly cleanse your skin, but Vaseline has only natural ingredients and will never react to your skin.

~~Vaseline also has lotion, which is just as great as their petroleum jelly. Vaseline is also good for rashes, burns, dryness, and will not clog your pores. Vaseline comes in a tube (50g), a small, medium and large jar, and used to come in a small tube for your lips, but I don’t see that anymore. I thought that was very effective because it could be used as a lip gloss and moisturizer without all the bad effects other lip glosses can do to your lips. Personally, whenever I want a clear lip gloss, I just dab it on my lips. If I want a coloured lip gloss, I put a lip stain on (lipstick) and then add a small dab of Vaseline.

Vaseline is great for everything. It can even be used as a lubricant (although I don’t use it as that!) but for all purposes Vaseline is the best choice.

~~Honestly, if you have small pimples and want to get rid of them, start out by using an oil-free cleanser, apply Vaseline and Johnson’s Baby Powder (Or any talcum powder) and it’ll get rid of them. This won’t work instantly, you have to keep using it for maybe a week or so. For me, using baby powder instead of foundation or cover-up is better. Cover-up tends to cake if you put on too much, and it doesn’t look good. Also, baby powder is white, but is for all skin colours, because it absorbs into your skin rather than staying on top. It absorbs all oils, and for any oil removal, baby powder is the best.
