I have a standard order when I go to Adigas - Rava Idly and Uddin Vade dipped in a bowl of Sambhar. It makes my day. Though the credit for’inventing’ Rava Idly goes to MTR, I believe Adigas makes it better. Hot Rava Idly is served with Potato curry with a dollop of Ghee poured on top of the Idly. When the Ghee melts, the steam that emanates from inside the hot Rava Idly carries with it the refreshing smell of Rava+ Coriander+ Ghee. I just take a couple of moments to relish that feeling and then dig into the Rava Idly to savor it. The texture is perfect, not too smooth and not too rough. And the Potato Curry is an excellent combination(the staple combination for Rava Idly, served everywhere).
Uddin Vade is my favorite. But I like it dipped into a bowl of hot sambhar. I like the Vade to soak in a bit of Sambhar and become soft. When I eat I should feel the crispness of the Vade and at the same time soft sambhar soaked flesh of it. It’s a fantastic feeling.
I have tried other food at Adigas like - Bisibelebaath, Shavige Baath, Butter Open Masala Dose and the usual North Indian/Chinese delicacies. Their food is of high quality and it comes with a price too, which I don’t mind paying. The service is also good(both at the fast food counter and the restaurant). Highly recommended place.
