Ajith always shows his keen respect towards women in his personal Life. When it comes to a film about women safety Ajith have shown his Ultimate Action so ferociously in this film. Less Importance is given to Soori and Shruthi Haasan since this film is a Sister sentiment film. Vedalam is an Thala Ajith’s 56th movie(Thala 56) direction by Siruthai Siva, who has earlier worked with Ajith in "Veeram". The movie produced by AM Rathnam, which is his third consecutive movie with Ajith after "Arrambam" and "Yennai Arindhaal"

Story: Ajith and his sister(Lakshmi Menon) comes to Kolkata in order to pursue Lakshmi Menon’s education in a Fine Arts college. Ajith starts working as a taxi driver for meeting the Education expenses of his sistor. Ajith gives Police Clue about a criminal, as requested by the Kolkata police who seek the help of all taxi drivers for finding clue about the Kidnappers, who Kidnap and sell women in the Kolkatta city. Ajith simply transforms into a cold blooded murderer and kills the persons who sell Women. In Fashback Ajith comes as a Local Rowdy who is turning out into a Good person by the affection shown on him by a Family. After Lakshmi Menon’s parents dies, Ajith adopts Lakshmi Menon as his sister and takes revenge on the people who kills Lakhmi Menon’s parents. Ajith kills all the persons who sells women in Kolkatta.
