This is the lifeline of entire eastern Odisha and many adjacent districts of Chhatisgarh which depend entirely on this hospital for their major medical problems.
It lacks good drinking water facility. There’s only one place near the entrance gate where you can get water to drink. So sometimes you have to walk 10-15 mins to get water if you are staying in surgery ward etc. We were recently staying there coz my uncle had an accident and he was being treated there. One more problem is that there are not enough dctors here while the number of patients is damn high. Considering the amoint of people who are dependent on this hospital, they should increase drinking water facility and number of doctors coz sometime you have to wait hours and hours and the doctors wont come.
